Getting a rental truck is common when moving houses. Of course, with all the things you need to transport you generally would need another vehicle for them. Fortunately though, full service truck rental is also available nowadays. You can hire the truck rental not just to provide the vehicle and to transport your things, but you can also contract them to pack your things and to provide manpower for loading and unloading your things. You will have to pay the price, of course. The total cost could depend on the packing materials, the packing, the distance to be traveled and the type and size of the truck. Some companies would figure in the cost of gasoline and vehicle maintenance too.
On the other hand, you could also rent a self service rental truck. This will save you money but you would have to do most of the work. The truck rental company would simply transport your things. You would have to pack your things yourself. Then you would need to load and unload your things yourself as well. Of course, you can ask some assistance from family and friends too. This would be a bit of a hassle on your part but again a cheaper option. In the end, the choice really would depend on whether you have the budget for a full service and on whether you want to have a less stressful move.
