Dunfermline has also been bequeathed two theatres, Carnegie Hall on East Port and the Alhambra on Canmore Street. Carnegie Hall which was built between 1933 and 1937, is a 540-seat theatre complete with a restaurant and adjacent music institute.[55] The Alhambra which was opened in 1922, claims to have one of the largest stages and seat capacities in Scotland.[56]

West Lothian

The West Lothian question is often said to have been raised by Tam Dalyell, then member of Parliament for the former West Lothian constituency, in his 1977 book Devolution: The End of Britain?. However, in the debate on the Referendum (English Parliament) Bill (HC Deb 16 January 1998 vol 304 cc589-660) Dalyell says " The so-called West Lothian question, as it was dubbed by Enoch Powell, not by me, in 1977"[1], denying this.

Uphall, West Lothian

Uphall has a public golf course and a selection of public houses including The Oatridge Hotel, The Dovehill Arms, Houston House Hotel.

Both plays had their scripts sent to Radio Scotland with a few of Scud's poems sent by Jim McDougall. Many of the poems were read out and a few ideas from the plays were used in other things, including Dukla Pumpherston (Tony Roper added the words 'Sawmill and Tannery' in the 1980's radio show Naked Radio). However, it is now a team playing to raise funds and awareness for various charities.
